I had mixed feelings about my stay at The Arctic Club. While the staff was considerate and professional, several aspects of the experience made me uncomfortable enough that I ultimately decided to leave after the first night.
The location felt somewhat unsafe, especially in the evening, which made it difficult to relax. In addition, I booked a balcony room without realizing that all top-floor rooms share one continuous balcony. This isn’t clearly mentioned, and it meant that other guests could see directly into my room and vice versa, which felt like a major privacy issue.
The room itself was also very dark, even during the day, which added to the overall uncomfortable atmosphere.
Because of these factors, I chose to check out early. That said, I want to acknowledge that the hotel staff handled the situation with understanding and courtesy, which I appreciated. With better transparency about room layouts and some improvements to lighting and security, this could be a much better experience.
