Lovey hotel right on the beach front. Only thing that was disappointing was that they don’t have sky tv so couldn’t watch the rugby. Good restaurant and reasonably priced

I loved the ease of parking, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Having a restaurant on site with discount for early payment of breakfast. Excellent views, so close to the beach and centre of town.

Meh, hotel seems fine but I think we got the worst room in the hotel. Only a tiny window looking out on shutters blocking the glorious view of the burger joint next door. Room was so small that there were no chairs other than one small desk chair. Heater was rather “creaky”. Given that we were staying in winter and the hotel seemed pretty empty, one of old think they might have upgraded us to one of the many empty rooms with a sea view. Oh, also the only hotel we’re stayed at in NZ that did not provide fresh milk for coffee (only little plastic creamers).

The staff at reception could have been more friendy. He said i see you've checked in for 1 night. He then checked when i said 2. Last time i stayed there the receptionist was absolutely lovely and so helpful.

Great location and friendly/amazing staff. No elevator in the exterior building where out room was so if you have a lot of gear or have acccessibility requirements, note this barrier. The rooms right across from the main street can hear all the rowdy sounds from the bars and restaurant patios across the street. But during the low season, the noise died down early enough. Note for light sleepers. Otherwise, had excellent sleep.
