Our family had a great time here and will stay again. The pool is the cleanest pool we have ever experienced at a hotel and I would not say warm, but not as frigid as most. The room (we have 3 kids) we chose was a double queen suite. It was humongous with a nice kitchenette. The hotel is a few blocks from the edge of the Plaza, but we found that the walk (even in the cold) was nice to get some exercise.

Everything was great except for 2 things. The fire alarm went off twice on Saturday night at 1 am and everyone evacuated, it was a false alarm. Then we no sooner got back to bed when it went off again but only momentarily. I also had an allergic reaction to the bedspread. I had no reactions to the rest of the bedding.

The staff was very hospitable and helpful. However there was, what seemed to be, a celebration party going on throughout multiple rooms on my floor. They were loud, intrusive, stunk the whole floor up with marijuana smoking and mingled often in the hallway until 3:00am. On top of that someone pulled a fire alarm at 12:00am. The scary thing about that is I’m handicapped and need a ECV to get around. When I booked my room I put in the notes that I needed first floor and walk-in shower. I was told I had a tub upon arrival and the staff accommodated that but did not have first floor availability. This is the second time I stayed at a Hampton Inn and had the same exact experience.

The bathroom sink was clogged. This was fixed after we told them. The fire alarm went off for 20 minutes at 11:20 PM. And then again around midnight. Was by far the worst stay I’ve had in a while.
