We had a wonderful stay at Coco Beach Resort in Koh Phi Phi. The location is unbeatable — just a short walk from the pier, and the staff take care of your luggage both on arrival and departure, which makes everything effortless. Everyone we met was incredibly polite and accommodating, always going out of their way to help. The rooms looked exactly like in the photos and were kept in top-notch condition throughout our stay. The setting is stunning, and we really appreciated the beautiful pool as well as the free kayaks and paddle boards, which made exploring the island even more special.
If there’s one minor drawback, it’s that some music from nearby beach clubs can be heard at night. However, we didn’t find it too distracting, and the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs. The island is quite small, so it’s hard to avoid music altogether anywhere you stay.
The only real downside for us was the food. As vegans/vegetarians, we found the options quite limited and not very satisfying. The chef did try to accommodate us, but the dishes ended up being very simple, mostly grilled or fried vegetables. During our stay, the resort hosted a special dinner for Loy Krathong, and even though we had informed them of our dietary needs in advance, vegan options weren’t really taken seriously — so we decided not to join the dinner. This is definitely an area that could be improved.
