The Savoia Excelsior Palace Trieste provided an overall excellent experience. The check in was extremelly fast. They stored our luggage for us to have lunch while waiting for our check in time. Staff was extremelly friendly and helpful. They recommended excellent places to visit within walking distance as well as dining that was superb. Great location. We felt safe walking at night. Great views, great hotel. Higly recommended!

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay here. Wonderful, friendly and efficient staff. All very friendly and helpful. We had a sea view room with a balcony and it was stunning in nearly every way. Comfortable, clean, large with a modern feel. The balcony was wonderful. Just a few things in the room let it down - access to a bedside lamp and a socket on both sides on the bed for example. Not being able to control the side lights separately from the main light. Really small things, but it would have made the room perfect.

Luxury on the water

My mom and I stayed here for 3 days and it was absolutely wonderful! We got the deluxe room with a balcony and it ended up being two small balconies which we loved. The room looked out onto the water and it was breath taking! The room was large and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was so kind and helpful and we just felt like we were staying in luxury. It’s a European hotel so some stuff is old but it is extremely clean and charming. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Don’t hesitate. Book it!

The hotel is nice but the rooms are needing some TLC. The carpets are dirty and stained and the bathroom was moudly. It is in the city centre so very close to restaurants, shops and attractions. I had arranged a cake for my partner’s 30th but it never arrived, this was disappointing.
