Pros: -Cool hotel -Great staff -7 Eleven next door! -15 minutes from Nishiki Market Cons: -VERY noisy due to main road and motorcycles -Rooms are too dark -no trash bin in room, only in corridors

This hotel was ok. The window glass in my room was dusty and also the overflow in the bathroom sink was black of dirt. Just thinking for what they charge per night, they should do a more thorough cleaning. Also the rooms are quite hot so you may need to run the air conditioning during the day if you pop by from your daily activities.

There was visible mold in the AC vent, had to wipe it up. Wouldnt have noticed if it wasnt at eye level. The room was well decorated but after a few nights it was rough sleeping the matress is not very thick. I did really like their tea set up and the convenience of the 711 on bottom level

You totallu get what you pay for but it was enough for what we needed. A place to sleep on. Bed was not comfortable and the dryer wasn’t drying and we had to go find a laundrymat. Line for the laundry was long since they only had 3.

The place was very clean and convenient. 7/11 on the 1st floor before you enter the hotel. Complimentary coffee and pastries in the lobby at 6:30am to 10:30am. They also have onsite laundry and dryers. But they are rather small if you are travel with more than 2.

Uber modern and alienating

This hotel is cold and impersonal. The staff is very indifferent. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows are terrible. It is not particularly clean, and the breakfast is meager and uninspired. I would not recommend this hotel. There are probably much better options in Kyoto.

Liked - Unique design of rooms and common areas. Luggage self storage area is awesome! Strength of shower water pressure was outstanding. Not very fond of very limited breakfast selection. Also mattress does not stay in place if you sit up in bed. Wish there was a little more storage room. Need more towel hanging area.

I like the style of the hotel and the self luggage storage was a unique feature! I did not like the pillows. The bed was not very comfortable, but the quirkiness of the hotel was fun!
