The hotel has an old-world feel to it, but with modern amenities. The Onsen baths were an amazing addition for us. The buffet breakfast is a MUST !

10/10 location in Gion. Walking distance to many things and public transportation. Hotel is modern and clean. Rooms are very small and those on the first floor don’t have any natural sunlight so it feels like you’re in a basement. Breakfast was very disappointing, I would not pay for that add-on and instead visit one of the coffee shops or even the Starbucks nearby.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at your hotel. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Kyoto. Wonderful everything! The room, the food, the staffs are professional and very convenient transpo, train station just few mins walk from the hotel and near shopping areas. Loved this hotel so much!

This is a very beautiful hotel with an amazing location. The onsen is wonderful. The rooms are very small and too tight for two people, and the air conditioning is poor which is brutal in summer. Also, the breakfast isn’t very good, I wish I hadn’t pre-purchased it. Overall this is a nice hotel but over priced for what you get.

Rooms are the quietest and darkest. Great for sleeping and immaculately clean. Lobby is cool with a fun bartender who plays US oldie music. Onsen was beautiful. Very well located near 2 train stops. My daughter left her passport in room at checkout, which they promptly returned to us. Very highly recommend!!!!

Nice location close to downtown area and close to transportation. Quiet with very nice common areas, amenities and friendly staff. The AC in the room could not keep the room cool and the room was very cozy, so that was a surprise.

This is an awesome hotel. The Japanese style room was very nice. Do not hesitate to book this hotel for your trip to Kyoto. It’s close to Gion and many tourist sites. In general it was a convenient location for getting around Kyoto. The onsen was also very good at the end of a long day of walking everywhere. I’m glad I didn’t stay near Kyoto Station, which had less character and is very busy. I highly recommend using the luggage shipping service as well. It’s unnecessary to burden yourself with carrying luggage across Japan!

The hotel was very clean and centrally located. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Snacks and water available in the lobby 27/7. I would have given it 4 stars but the rooms were small and what I disliked the most was the breakfast. It was the same thing being served each morning. There was no coffee machine for anything but but dripped coffee.
