Our room was beautiful. It was quiet and had blackout draperies, the beds were comfortable. The garden room was gorgeous, the view from the bathtub was just great. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices. The location was close to transportation and a short walk to Pontocho. We enjoyed our stay. We arrived early and asked if one room was available. It was and it was great to check it early and quickly shower after a long day of traveling. They prorated the daily cost, so $100 for 4 hours. While fair, we were staying for 4 nights with 2 rooms, so it seemed a bit penny pinching-and it took over 30 minutes for the front desk to calculate the fee.

京都、河原町の端っこで市役所前駅の近く。と言うよりも駅からすぐのところにあるホテルです。中心街の喧騒から離れてゆっくりしたい人には良い場所だと思います。ホテルの階層もそこまで高くなく、よくある高層階まで行った。エレベーターがなかなか降りてこないと言うイライラが少ないです。ホテル自体も落ち着いた雰囲気で、部屋も落ち着ける雰囲気でした。惜しむらくは、清掃が2日にいっぺんと言う事。希望出せば毎日清掃していただけますが、基本2日にいっぺん。そのためゴミの回収も自ら外に出さないといけないためやや手間に感じました。できればベッドメイキング等は2日にいっぺんでもいいので、部屋のゴミを回収と簡単な掃除機をかける位の掃除はしていただけると助かります。お部屋のお風呂も立派ですが、シャワーがやや水圧が弱い感じがしました。大浴場は大きなお風呂が2つあり、薄暗い照明の中落ち着いてリラックスできる場所でした。ホテルを出ればすぐ裏手には鴨川が流れており、早朝及び夜の静かな雰囲気の中川を散歩出来るのは良かったです。食事に関しては素泊まりのコースを選んだため評価できません。移動においては、駅が近いということが、何より便利に観光しやすい場所だと思います。ちょっと足をのばせば河原町の中心街に出ることができるので、食事も買い物も困りません。昼間は観光、夜は静かの中、ゆっくりできるホテルがいいと言う方にはお勧めだと思います。

Quiet oasis near the center of Kyoto but right next to the river and a subway stop. Staff was wonderful and the breakfast extensive with a good mix of western and Japanese items.

Generally just excellent. Very spacious rooms, well equipped, clean and modern, great location an easy walk from central Kyoto and just across the bridge from the major Sanjo station, couldn't ask for a better spot. Did find the bathroom a little cramped and the bathroom lighting a little harsh, though it makes up for that with an enormous shower/bath wetroom

I loved our stay here. We had a garden twin and the garden bathroom was to die for. Close to the bathhouse and laundry was a plus on the garden floor. Service was great and even provided luggage delivery to our next hotel. Breakfast was worth it and the hotel was also in a great area. Oh and the bathroom had American outlets so my blowdrier worker (only girls can understand how important that it)! Thank you we’ll definitely stay again.

This hotel is beautiful; we stayed in the bath view room and had a lovely experience with one of our biggest rooms in our Japan trip. My only negative staying here was the fact our booking got lost when we first checked in and we almost didn’t have a room to stay in.. Expedia and the Solaria team both figured it out and helped us get checked in. Onsen is nice too! Good addition to a hotel for the full experience.

The hotel was in a quiet corner which was peaceful, but within a block you can get to the happening part of town filled with shopping and restaurants! The staff was wonderful and polite, not reason to think, prefer place to stay.

The location is perfect, close to the train station and a market of sorts filled with great places to eat and cute little shops. Easy to access other parts of Kyoto from the hotel. Our room, however, was cramped and dark and faced a wall. The staff removed our wet clothes from the dryer before it had finished as someone else wanted to use it. Little to no interaction with staff as you check in and out using a machine.
