Awesome hotel. The lobby area where they give you a free drink every night is really nice. The balcony’s off the rooms are also nice. Very close to the Kyoto station.
Very attentive service, especially by Joseph when we checked in. Didn't realize that they have love music every evening, could hear a bit in our room but was tolerable although maybe going a bit later than we would have liked. Recommend requesting a quieter room location if this sort of thing would annoy you. Great breakfast, especially the French toast offerings.
Very nice adult only hotel - very cozy. Free music and drink every night in great atmosphere. Very close to kyoto station (4 min walk) and a 7/11 next to hotel. Nice hot bath facilities ( separated). Not in the hustle and bustle of the city - but super practical when travelling around. Also 2 large malls nearby.
Bathroom is nice but feels a bit like a cruise bathroom.
I use a wheelchair so the cobble stone courtyard was a bit less than ideal. But it was very pretty. I didn't pick the property for huge accessibility but I did use the accessible filters provided so I am slightly worried about them for other peoples uses. The door to my room was slightly tight and a right corner which made getting inside in my manual wheelchair tough. However, I can get up and walk short distances so I walked in the door and my cousin pushed my chair in. The room is cute. And was easy for me to get around. However, if the bar in the bathtub had texture and was at less of an angle it would have been more accessible :)

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
They did not like us booking 5 adults. They said 4 was max. They let us stay but we had to sign a waiver. 2 of us are over 70 and the other 3 are over 40 - not party people. Washing machines? The dryers failed - we met multiple people that had the same issue - wet clothes as the dryers failed. 😞
This was my second time at this property. I love that it has a public bath and is the reason I stopped again in Kyoto on my way to Tokyo. The room has everything that I needed. It’s a short walk from the Kyoto train station which has everything imaginable. Shops, restaurants, name it. The Japanese outdid themselves with that station. I got lost several times because it is so big. The staff are great as it appears to be at most Japanese establishments. I hope to come back again.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
The area was nice and central, close to the main Kyoto station.
The staff were excellent and very helpful
The only downside was the poor internet that was provided.
Not an issue if you have your own data plan.
