Great stay overall. The rooms were clean, the staff were welcoming, and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the station and buses. Made traveling around Kyoto very easy. Highly recommend.

加湿器を使用しておりましたが、1台では湿度が十分に保てず、夜間にかなり乾燥し、翌朝は喉を痛め体調不良になりました。 念のため加湿器を2台リクエストしておりましたが、予備がないとのご回答でした。他のビジネスホテルでは常備されているケースも多く、今後のご利用者様のためにも、ぜひ予備の加湿器をご用意いただける体制をご検討いただけレバと思います。

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was so happy to get an upgraded room. It was huge compared to the last two APAs we stayed at. Breakfast was also good as it had lots of seating and a great variety. Pillows were very comfortable.

About a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station where the shinkansen is located. This hotel was fairly great for me. There's a Don Quijote across the street, pharmacy, Lawson and 711. The staff were all super friendly and when we got a language barrier they had a neat gizmo to help translate.

Easy check in procedure using a kiosk, with staff to guide you through the process and getting amenities in the lobby. Clean room with great shower pressure and hot water. Breakfast has lots of good selections including Kyoto style miso soup, lots of vegetarian options, breads and pastries, fruit, salad and hot dishes that change daily (eg gyoza, eggs, fried prawns, sausages, bacon, salmon, pork cutlet etc). Perfect location 1 block away from Kyoto Station - you can walk there in less than 3 minutes.

One of the best things about staying at this hotel is the breakfast buffet, which is prepared with the Kyoto spirit and lots of love and care. They have a weekly menu, meaning they change what they serve every day. A variety of flavorful selections of Japanese/Kyoto cuisine fill not just your stomach but your heart. The front desk staff were also welcoming and hospitable. The room was not huge but clean, and their comfortably firm mattress guarantees a good night's sleep. I already booked this hotel for my next trip to Kyoto that's happening in a couple of weeks. Oh yes, the super easy access to Kyoto Station is a huge plus, and you'll find an abundance of charming restaurants in the neighborhood. In short, I fell in love with Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto Hachijoguchi.
