Fabulous property so close to many Temples and Shrines in walkable distances. The lobby was so welcoming and spacious, friendly staff, and a welcome gift, Lots of amenities, comfortable bed, clean and modern with lanterns in the hallways. Loved this place!

This a beautiful hotel located in walking distance to Gion and most of the tourist spots! Also close by to bus stops if you prefer :) The service was excellent, all staff members we interacted with were super lovely! The room we selected was a great size for two of us with four suitcases 😆 check in was easy & smooth and the amenities were great too.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff went above and beyond with hospitality and service. We appreciated the amenities at this hotel, which include a lovely lobby with a beverage machine. It was very well kept and clean, and the location was extremely convenient for exploring Kyoto.

I can't recommend this hotel enough. The staff and service were 5 stars, with one staff member walking me to the corner to get a taxi in the freezing cold at 5am. The rooms were large by Japanese standards and had everything you need. The ice machine and filtered water in the lobby is really handy with filling drink bottles on the way in and out of the hotel. Walking distance to supermarkets and restaurants.

If you're looking for an affordable hotel that offers easy access to historic Gion (and the rest of Kyoto), Terrace Kiyomizu is a great option. The rooftop terrace and complimentary beverage machine were also much appreciated.
