My bed was either a full or twin and not a queen as advertised I went to see if I can get another room and they give me a difficult time and argued with me stating it was a queen and it definitely wasn't very dissatisfied I wish I can get a refund I paid good money and received lousy service

JOSH IS THE BEST!! GO SEE HIM IN THE LOBBY FROM 11 pm to 7 am!!! HE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ACCOMMODATE GUESTS!! His positive energy and good vibes are contagious, even at 3 am!!!! I love staying here as I’m a local and quite often I need a little getaway !! The rooms are updated & clean and the staff is amazing !!! And summertime is great with the beach only feet away!!

Needs investment, renovation

Rooms need serious renovation. Window air conditioners are BEHIND the drapes, so you can't block like and cool the room at once... drapes are thinner than paper, so the sunrise will wake you up. Friends had no working air conditioner at all.

If you stay at this hotel, make sure that they book you on a top floor room. Otherwise, you're going to hear people walking above you at all hours of the night. Although there was a refrigerator in the room, there was no microwave or small coffee maker. I thought this was odd, because if you're going to stay there for a few days, and you put stuff in the refrigerator that you want to heat up the next day, you have nothing to do it with. You get the feeling that they're trying to be accommodating by offering certain amenities but they only go halfway with it. That being said, the room was clean. The maid service was on point, even though they didn't speak English, and the beds were comfortable. The town itself has nothing to offer in the general vicinity of this hotel, other than the boardwalk, and the beach, which was nice, but since the weather was nasty for the time we were there, It wasn't really applicable. I've been to many beach towns on the East Coast, and thus far, this has been the least impressive.

I have stayed at the Long Beach Hotel a few times before. It serves the purpose for a night but it's bare bones. The TV batteries were dead in the remote and it was missing the back cover. So no TV for the night, not that it matters much anyway as it's 99% junk anyway. But still, I did pay for a room with a TV. The AC/heat worked but that remote was also missing a battery cover. The room has few areas to put things down. A couple of small bathroom shelves would help. Room was quiet, as always, bed comfortable, staff polite and generally an okay stay. Hotel was built in the 1880's, inside redone, but still has an 1880's layout and outside look. Nothing wrong with that at all as it gives it character. Despite some negatives I'll be coming back when I'm in the area again.

DO NOT book this hotel!!! When we arrived our King room was not available, supposedly due to an air conditioner leak. We were offered a queen with no compensation, it was very late at night and we were exhausted so we took the room and figured we would deal with the situation in the morning. The AC was not working in the queen room and we had to move to another sketchy room. There was never any apology or compensation, it was my worst experience in a hotel ever.

The only thing that was an eye archer was that the walls are thin. This not a problem though, everything else makes up for it. The staff are all equally amazing and work well together. The bar could stay open later and maybe offer karaoke but hey, ya never know! Great place.

We enjoyed our stay in Long Beach but didn't realize this hotel had people that live there for short periods of time in a part of the hotel. Our room was ok but the air conditioning was also iffy. The shower water came out brown when we first turned it on. There were other room amenities that we normally expect at hotels that were not in our room. Hotel staff was great. We did try to move to the other side of the hotel but it was not an option.

What a dump. Horrible plumbing. Not as advertised. Karaoke bar right underneath us. Amateur Construction projects. Cheap particle board bed that sounded broken. Flat pillows. Inadequate air conditioning. Bad housekeeping. Doors don't even close or open correctly. Key constantly deprogrammed. Air conditioning plugged into power strip. Paint splattered all over the wood floors. Cheapest of everything in construction and repairs. Nothing in the entire building is square including the front desk. Constant pot smell in a non-smoking building. Spotty housekeeping at best. One of two beds sometimes made. Sometimes we were left with fewer towels than we started the day with. Unable to turn off shower water fully.
