Basic but alright
Very basic clean room with shared bathroom (there didn’t seem like many people using it though). Internet worked. Could have used more plug sockets by the bed. Things were a bit dusty but not main areas. It was quite noisy at night so we kept the windows shut, but it was by a main coach area in town. Very handy to have a sink and fridge in the room. Bed linen was clean and so were shared areas. I read that others didn’t know the apartment was away from the main hotel and that people didn’t know they were using shared facilities, however this was clear from the start. The entrace is in an archway next to a kiosk but it was fine. Possibly slightly overpriced but we stayed in peak season where everything is expensive!

The bedroom was basic but clean and renovated. The building is an old building and not very well soundproof. The entrance looks a little sketchy but the place is close to the old town. Stay was one night.

O
Average to poor is accurate. After reading reviews I somewhat expected this. Some things were ok and a saving grace to the stay.
When I unlocked the door and stepped into the room the smell was stale. I opened the door to the outside and run the fan which eventually helped. This should be addressed prior to guests staying.
The second thing was the power supply. I had to juggle lights, fans andy charging accessories to make this work. There was only one accessible electrical connection in the room.
Third was the cleanliness of the room. Just some surfaces that need a wipe. The bedding was fine, and the bathroom was ok.
The service from the staff at the hotel across the street where you check in is excellent. I think that this place exists in this town is important, just know what you're getting yourself in for when booking.
I read all the reviews (after booking with no cancellation!!) and was pretty nervous about my stay. However I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, beds fresh, towels changed daily, bathrooms were easily accessible and private. There were block out external blinds, fans for the heat and no noise. This is simple accommodation, you’re not paying a fortune to stay. Yes - it is different to an hotel and the neighbourhood is in the centre of the city. So that comes with a multitude of characters passing by. However it is also close to all the attractions and easy to access public transport. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. Guests should bring $20chf to pay a key deposit - this is returned immediately upon your departure. Luzern is a beautiful city ready to be explored!
Check-in was at main hotel about 2 blocks from annex where we stayed. Arriving after dark the annex was in a dark alley with no lighting at the entrance, stairs or hallway. Room was very basic but okay. Beds were comfortable and clean. Apparently we booked a room with no bathroom. The two shared hallway bathrooms were locked all night and likely occupied by vagrants. The shower handle was broken. We had booked for two nights but got a much better room at another location—the front desk of the main hotel was friendly but only offered a 50% refund of our second night. Note that the bathrooms were open in the morning and the lights were working but we did not feel safe to stay again. Note that the photos of the annex on Expedia and their website include many pictures of the much nicer main hotel, only the room photos are accurate. The Annex is only acceptable if there are no other affordable options.
The fridge was dirty and the whole room smelt like cigarette smoke. We also didn’t appreciate that the curtains were see-through. Everything else was great.
The pucture looked ok , but i didnt realize the room was in a ghetto building with comunal bathrooms and showers, the pictures looked ok but the building was very noisy and had a terrible sleep, dont go for the cheaper hotel i guess?
I wanted to stay in yhe hotel itself, not something up the block around the corner. Had 1 key for main enteance and room. Was separated from roommate and unable to get into the room. Originally searched hotel with AC, it had a table fan. No coffee for expresso machine. Said it had a restaurant below, was only open for breakfast. They said other building had a restaurant, didnt open till 11:30 am. Was put in a hostel shared bathroom. Had to pay extra $30 a night to have own restroom, then had to share bed with cousin. EXTREMELY noisy!

On arrival I got told that we will be staying at a different hotel. It was in a scruffy location in a block of flats. I purposely booked the hotel to have 24h reception and a restaurant, but they send some people to a different location. We could smell weed there. I guess they rent few flats and send them there. A receptionist was very aggressive and rude when I only asked why we had to stay at a different location and photos of the room were completely different. After mentioning about smell of weed, she said adults can do what they want. She said that because it had been booked through third party, they would not help us.
Surprised to discover we were not in the hotel itself, but in a building 2 blocks away. Not a nice accommodation. Noisy, hot, uncomfortable pillow. Shared bathrooms not very nice
Room was nice and clean, but bed was not big for a queen size it’s not if a full size, friendly stuff, you will have to walk to another building after you check in.
Unclear was that our room was actually in a building a quick block north. But front desk staff escorted us directly to our room. The room was very spacious, beds cozy, ample plugs. Bathroom/Shower were common but the building so quiet we encountered nobody else.
Great location to everything. 100% would stay again.
The hotel itself was okay, but i was in an outer building and couldn't find it the next time i went out. No room service no kettle to make a coffee. Rather isolated
The Annex does not have phone service to call front desk, no wifi, and no heater it was so cold. They kept on telling me that i have the only one who has problem. But if i am at the lobby of the main hotel i have internet service.
