Ok hotel

The hotel was a bus ride away from train station which was a little inconvenient. When we got to hotel at 12:00 we were told our room was available but it was too early to check in. We were given 2 options: pay 3 CHF per bag for the front desk to hold our bags or we could pay 20CHF if we wanted to check in early. The next day I needed a hair dryer and had to give a $20 deposit at front desk to borrow the hairdryer, which was returned when I returned hair dryer. The staff that we encountered were all super super nice and friendly, they were just following the hotel policy regarding checkin and hairdryer. The breakfast was just ok. Yogurt, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, no toaster, juices. The room was super small. The shower is right next to the bed so when you step out of the shower you are standing right next to the bed. The sink is in the bedroom because there really isn’t a bathroom. I can’t say I would recommend this hotel but the staff was wonderful!

We had a great experience even for a short stay! Joyce, Hugo & Alex are very friendly. They welcomed us with a big smile. Even though the room is small it has everything we need. It is nice that there is a free pass for bus rides for all the travelers. Very close to the main train station and bus stop is a walk away to/from hotel. We will stay here again for sure - Thanks Ibis!

This hotel deserves one star rating or even less. There is so much discomfort staying in this hotel. The bathroom and toilet are two separate small cages. The air conditioning is terrible and one will feel suffocating as the supply and exhaust short circuits. The room has wall socket that barely charge one cell phone. The room is so tiny that one immediately forgets everything good about Luzern the moment one enters the room. There are no amenities. The good part is about the supporting staff. They were helpful.

It was alright.

It was alright. One of the two of us would be happy to go back. Each of us thought the breakfast was a little weak, for different reasons. But at least one of us thought it was still good enough. Some gluten-free oats would be good... and not expensive to add. I'm told they do have gf bread upon request. The price of breakfast was competitive. The room seemed to get a bit hot at night. There seemed to be an A/C thermostat but it was unclear if it was working. Opening a window helped. But that risks, on lower floors, bugs entering the room, and on a rainy day, moisture. The room was a little tight, but manageable. I think the room included no conventional chairs but working on a computer in bed worked okay. A fan for the toilet would be good, but it worked out okay. We didn't try the shower. At least one of us valued that we had a shower and toilet in our room rather than in a common area. They do have a few food items available in the lobby. The pasta/pizza/salad place across the street (Prizzi) is good. There's a grocery a few blocks away. This hotel is less than ten minutes away from the train station if on foot. The walk to the old town is a bit long, but acceptable if it's not raining. I believe free bus passes are available. We did not try the busses but I imagine they would be very helpful. The staff was helpful in a variety of ways. It was great that we could leave our bags secured there during the final day after checkout.

Perfect location

Loved our stay here! It was close to the main train station and made getting around the city so easy! We were surprised to find that the hotel provided a city card that gives you free access to the city buses. And 20% discount at attractions. We took advantage of the buses to save our feet. We ducked onto a bus when it was raining hard, taking a long bus ride just to wait out the rain/take a break. The hotel breakfast was very reasonable and had a large selection of cold items (meat/cheese, breads, veggies, cereal/museli, yogurt, boiled eggs). We enjoyed it. The rooms were comfortable but sparse. It is a value hotel with no frills, so don’t expect fancy decor. But the location made it a great choice. There were some restaurants in the area, but not many. Also a nice grocery store very close that sold water, snacks, and breads much cheaper than what we got in the city. Staff were also friendly and helpful.

Good location, hotel room was very small and parking if you can get in is €24 on top. Also you can’t get travel adapters in the plugs because of the shape of the socket. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was as we expected for a budget hotel though, it’s just not really budget price but that’s because of its location in a lovely town I assume.

The location is handy for exploring Lucerne, and the hotel offers decent value for Switzerland. However, the room was extremely small with no proper storage for clothing—just a few hooks and shelves. What stood out most was the heat: there’s no air conditioning, only an air purifier that gives the impression of cooling but doesn’t actually lower the temperature. It felt misleading, especially during warmer days. We even asked for a fan from the reception and they came to our room to help fix the thermostat but never returned. Also worth noting: I was charged 20 CHF to access the room less than an hour before official check-in. While I understand early check-in fees, this felt steep given how close it was to the check in time.

Though the hotel room is small in size, it has every thing. The breakfast was excellent. First time, we reached to the hotel by walking. It takes 10-8 min from the Luzern Station. Hotel provides a free bus card for the more convenience. Bus Stop is across from the hotel. There is a convenience store next to the hotel and some other restaurants. There is pizza/pasta and bar close to the hotel (across from the gas station) which opens until 11:00 pm. I like the hotel

Excellent choice for an expensive city

Our stay was really nice. My family enjoyed the hotel, the breakfast really tasty and the access to bus stop is close. The shower was excellent. The one thing I dislike was that to rent for a hairdryer ,leaving a deposit of 20 euros. Until here no problem..but when I needed an adapter they did not have it to rent, only to sell (for plus 20,00 euros!!). Luckily I didn't need because the electrical outlet of the TV served without an adapter. Apart from this, everything excellent
