The location of the property is great. Unfortunately the staff is sub-par at best. In the lobby area, there is sitting area with a couch and two cloth chairs. Over to the side, beside the front desk, there are two high top tables with a sign that reads, “This area is designated for service during happy hour.”
We were there on Sunday. Unfortunately, the hotel did not have happy hour on Sundays. Therefore, those tables were empty.
The couch was soaking wet (with visible wet spots on it) and the two cloth chairs were occupied. Having no other place to sit, my elderly mother and I sat at the high top to wait for my children to come downstairs. A short time after sitting at the table, the manager on duty took it upon himself to rudely demand that my elderly mother and I move out of two chairs at the high top table. When we explained to him that the couch was wet and there was no other place to sit, he simply shrugged his shoulders. I asked him why we couldn’t sit at the table considering there was no happy hour that day, he rudely replied that it was, “hotel policy.” He was very confrontational and frankly rude. He said if I didn’t like it I could, “talk to corporate.” (Hopefully corporate reads this review!)
Thankfully, we were only staying at that hotel for two nights. I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel, especially with rude employees. There are plenty of other hotels in the area. I would advise staying elsewhere!
