Good hotel but thieves are around

The hotel and staff were amazing. However, I was robbed around the hotel pool. Left my bag there for 10 minutes and when I returned I was alerted by people to check my bag because they saw someone open it. When I checked the bag, my wallet was missing. Please be vigilant around the pool and its bar area.

Staff at registration was lovely but the room had problems: no shower curtain, knob controlling the water flow in the shower was lying on the side of the tub rather than connected, and coffee maker didn't work. Everything was fixed, but... Valet parking is $50/night AND the wait for your car can be as much as 50 min, although they estimate much less.

Hotel stay was overall good. Staff was courteous. First night, the AC didn’t work but they got it repaired the next day. Room was clean but their TV service sucks. The tv kept freezing up every other minute. Seems like this was an overall hotel thing and just not in our room. The beds were too soft for my preference causing my back to hurt. Fitness center can definitely use an upgrade. The cardio equipment is old and no machine weights. Ideal thing to do when the hotel renovated the fitness center is get rid of a few cardio machines and make space for a multi gym along with new dumbbells and benches. Pool area is nice and the pastry place was really good. Plenty of dining options within walking distance and easy access to the beach.

We were very excited to stay right on Miami Beach. We come from a land-locked state, so the ocean is a rare treat. We arrived well after check-in time, but were initially told the front desk just needed to check with housekeeping to verify it was ready in 2-3 MINUTES. About 2 and 1/2 hours later, They finally gave us one room out of two with the promise the second would be ready soon. After a couple of stops back at the desk, we asked to speak to a manager. She explained the hotel AC was dying and they have had maintenance working on it for 2 days. The second room currently had non-working AC, so they offered us a “pool view” room instead that had working AC. It was disappointing, but I’d much rather have working AC than a view. As a way of making up for the trouble, they comped us $500 credit at the Italian restaurant. When we asked about the price difference of the two rooms, they offered to waive the resort fee. We understand that there are sometimes unforeseen circumstances. However, the situation would have been far less aggravating if they had just been honest from the start. Why didn’t they just offer the lesser room hours before? Or they could have explained the delay could be quite long. I suppose it could have been worse, as they were relocating some guests to another hotel all together, not on the beach. The room view wasn’t really of the pool and never cooled below 75. Property itself could be great if they can fix these issues. Nice room and onsite restaurant

There was no shower curtain so the bathroom was messy. There was 1 set of cream and sugar. The pool had dirty suds and no one cared to clean it. Since the room was not ready they told me they will not charge property fee but they still did. Had to keep calling to reach someone in the reception to solve this finally someone answered and wanted me to send this in email so they can review. This was quite inconvenient. Eventually they waived the fee. They failed to be an autograph collection hotel. Overall there are other option in the area which would have been better for us.

Not impressed. Once room was ready then everyone comes to get their room keys and results in long line and long wait. TV kept going in and out. AC in room would not cool below 73 degrees. Alarm clock was set by previous guest and woke us up way too early. Bungalow had good food and drinks. We had been there a couple times before but it is starting to look a bit worn out and run down.

The room was tired, had mold growing on the ceiling, (yes I have photo) smelled badly. the porch was beyond tired, view of the HVAC and all other systems, ocean in the distance. The whole property is ready for a tear down. At 1:00 am the hotel engineer let himself into the room, unannounced, with the do not disturb light on, not once but twice. As I was beating on the door and screaming NO. I should have called the police. The front desk and management is aware.The excuse about working on HVAC at 1:00 am, was debunked, with the second attempt at entering the room, again with me screaming and beating on the door. AVOID at all cost

So glad we chose it!

Loved this hotel. I compared so many before our first trip to Miami Beach and I’m really glad we chose Cadillac. Beautiful pool area with complimentary sunscreen, gorgeous lobby and bar and so close to the beach. Like most hotels, not everything was in perfect condition (the bathroom and balcony could use upgrades) but all in all it felt like a little bit of luxury without being extravagant. We ate at Don Mare one night and it was good. Miami food is very pricey but Don Mare was better than the touristy places on Collins and Ocean Ave. But the on-site coffee shop is way too expensive and the selection could be better. Everyone at the Cadillac was extremely friendly. Bartenders, pool staff, etc. The area around the hotel is pretty quiet. There’s a CVS and some cafes but no shopping. But it was easy to take lyfts/ubers to Lincoln Road and South Beach. If we come back to Miami, I’d definitely stay at the Cadillac again.
