I’d rate this hotel 5 stars, but I’m giving it 4 due to a few issues: the AC was weak (even in December), the balcony and closet doors didn’t slide easily, the bathroom barn door lacked privacy, and hallway door‑slamming was loud. Our double partial ocean‑view room with a balcony in the main tower (facing St. Moritz) was clean and well appointed, though it lacked a separate water closet and double vanity. The 17th‑floor view of the ocean and city skyline was fantastic. Service was excellent throughout. Special thanks to Joshua at check‑in/out; Raul, the pool concierge; Johnny and Sanja, servers at the pool & beach; Franz and Marc at the pool bar; and Surah at Preston’s. The location is ideal—an easy walk to Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road for dining and shopping. Beach access and included lounge chairs were great perks, and the pool deck offered plenty of lounge areas, though it filled up quickly and chairs are placed very close together. The pool didn’t feel heated and was a bit cool, as was the ocean in mid‑December. Towel service for both the pool and beach lounge chairs is provided and bulk sunscreen is available to be individually dispensed. The spa and gym in the St. Moritz basement were nice amenities. The spa layout is a bit of a maze but manageable. The steam room and sauna are available even without booking spa services. Overall, I highly recommend this property and would gladly return.

My husband and I stay at the Loews once a year in Miami, and usually enjoy our experience. However, we’ve learned that it is now under new management and it shows. Everytime my husband entered the pool area he was asked to show his room ID, no matter what time of the day. The whole point of staying at a luxury property is that you’re paying for the security of knowing you’re secluded from the outside world. It feels very targeted to ask your brown guests to show their ID every time they’d like to enjoy the pool area that they are paying good money to have access to. Next time we’ll just stay at the Faena and avoid the hassle!

The property is in excellent condition. It’s very well kept. The room is very clean, and cleaning staff do a great job. Hotel Staff is very friendly and courteous, always doing their best to please guests. The property is a really nice resort with a nice swimming pool and has several food places. Location is very central. Right on a swimmable beach, next to all beach activities and short walk to all the local attractions and many shopping and breakfast, lunch and dining options. On top of it, they converted one conference room into a playroom during the holidays and a little movie theater with popcorn and cookies. Would definitely come back again.
