Do not book this hotel, especially if you are a woman traveling alone. I did not have high expectations based on the price, but when I tried to check in, the front desk told me there was an additional $100 deposit as well as a 22.80/day resort fee. I told him this was the first i was hearing of this and would be happy to pay if I could see the policy in writing somewhere. He gave me so much attitude and told me I "didn't have to check in." So great, the low-priced hotel came with hidden fees. Still waiting to be refunded my deposit.
The room itself was FILTHY. The window looked into some furniture storage room for the hotel, the floors in the bathroom were mildewed, no trash bag lining the trash can...a sinister-looking mess. every surface was grimy, the mirror was broken, etc.
When I came back to the hotel at night by myself, the lights were all off in the lobby and one employee was just pacing the lobby by himself. He was nice, but it was a creepy sight.
Someone kept trying to (unsuccessfully) open my door while I was in the room as well.
The one plus is, being between California and NYC, i found their vending machine prices to be very reasonable. but overall i cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anybody. It may work if you are a young man trying to save some money, but women or families should not stay here. I have learned my lesson about booking a cheap stay. And with the hidden fees, this was not so cheap in the end.
