The staff was wonderful and always accommodating. The decor is unique and the rooms are clean and comfortable with a nice tv for nights in. This was my second stay here and will be going back in 4 months! The best part about the Altamont is the location. Easily walk the hip strip or to downtown MB. Would recommend! 10/10!

Honestly for the price I can’t even complain. The staff was amazing…from the front desk to the two men that helped me with my suitcases up and down The stairs, I’m grateful. I wish the breakfast was at the hotel it self but everything else was great. 10/10

Very comfortable hotel. Nice and clean. The staff is super nice, and extremely helpful. The airport shuttle driver is trash, however. He charged me $20 US for a ride to the airport; an Uber probably would have cost half that. When I get to the airport, he suddenly doesn't have change for $5000 Jamaican I gave him, despite all of the bills he tried to hide in his pocket. He's trash. Everything else went well.

Wouldn't stat again

Nice terrace and view. Rooms were small and the walls were very thin. The hotel is directly across a busy highway and the noise is very loud at night. It is unsafe to cross since the hotel is at a corner. Fine for a quick stay if you are only passing through but certainly not for a long term accommodation. Staff was helpful when asked questions but generally not friendly and seemed put off by tourists. No water available as is standard at most places. You are expected to pay for it.

First off there was not a working phone in the room therefore anytime we needed something we had to go downstairs to the front desk. We were told it was because of some work being done and the phones were dodwn. Likewise, the TV didn't work. On Saturday night around 10 PM someone had to come up and try to get the TV working. This took 1/2 hour and he ended up calling someone. After he came back it took another 15 min. to get it working. By then it was time to go to sleep. Also no clock! The shower had a weak stream and the shower handle was loose so we had to work with it to get the right temperature. I mentioned it to the front desk and I was told no one was available to fix it until Sunday. Sunday came and went and it still wasn't fixed. We also put in a wake up call for 3 AM as we had to get ready for the taxi who was coming at 4:30 AM to take us to the airport. At 4:15 someone knocked on the door to tell us the taxi was there and he said he was told the wake up call was for 4:30. We went on vacation to destress only to be more stressed.

The staff is a 10 and by far the best asset of this property. Breakfast was amazing, however if you are late getting t breakfast you may miss the local meal which is like a dinner in the morning. Breakfast is highly recommended. The property is off the main strip and can be noisy at times. I would stay here again because of the staf and the breakfast
