This property was great! The only issue we had was how warm it was in our room. We were on the 3rd floor and had a view of Cannery Row, but none of the windows could open. Not even a slight opening. There was a ceiling fan in our room and a plug in, standing fan but it only blew the warm air around. We made sure the heater in our room was off, but we had a difficult time sleeping with no fresh air or cooler air option. Other than that, it’s a nice place to stay.

I recently stayed at the Spindrift Inn for a quick, much needed getaway. The views were such a wonderful part of my stay. My window looked directly over the water, which was incredible. The complimentary breakfast was the icing on the cake. I loved how simple the process was — just fill out the card, hang it on the door and relax. No dealing with the coffee maker or trying to clean it before brewing. Room service arrived on time each morning with a fresh carafe of hot coffee, fruit, pastries, or whatever I ordered. The first day, the pastries were warm and toasty. On the other days they arrived cold, so I’m not sure if the warming was standard or just something they did on the first morning. The room itself was comfortable, but it did have a stale, pet-like smell, especially around the nightstand area. The nightstands also had sticky residue from previous guests, so both could have been cleaned better. Those were the main drawbacks. As for the front desk staff, I had a very pleasant conversation with one of the women working the late shift. She was funny and easy to talk to. We had a nice chat about Monterey. The rest of the staff were nice, though I think a couple of them could be a bit warmer and more personable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay! Tranquil views and the historic Cannery Row experience make the place worth visiting.

Beautiful room, spacious and clean. Fireplace was a nice touch. Bathroom clean and good shower pressure. Nice toiletries. Wish they had liquid body wash in addition to bar soap (but that’s a personal preference). Great central location. Continental breakfast had a lot of choices and is delivered to the room. Nice pastries, fresh cut fruit was perfect. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel, now our Monterey favorite!

Wonderful hotel and views!

Wonderful hotel! We've stayed many times and it never disappoints. It is pricey, but worth it, especially the ocean front rooms!
