I would not recommend this property. I was at a wedding and was going to check in after around 10:30pm. I received a voicemail that my reservation would be canceled even though I paid in advance. In the middle of a wedding they wanted my credit card information to leave the room card under the doormat. The man on the phone was incredibly rude. The room was also very old and in need of renovation. I would NOT recommend. We only stayed for 1 night and that was too much. There are other models on that street where I have received much better service with updated and clean rooms.

We liked the proprietors, good location for our purposes, felt safe, was clean. Has microwave and mini-fridge. Has smoking garden for smokers away from the rooms. A few improvements that would be good: odd smell in room - maybe the cleaning products? A little rust in tub, tiny industrial-style towels, cracked floor tiles, very low toilet not good for old people.

The carpeting in the room that I was given was full of stain and appeared very dirty/not washed in a long time. The manager acknowledged that it was an old carpet. I asked for a different room but was told that it was the only room available. I did not stay at this motel and cancelled my reservation through Expedia.

It’s a very good clean motel worth the price. Staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. There are a lot of places to go eat at. It’s about 10-20 minutes to the beach, point Los lobos and the Bixby Bridge

The property was clean and very nice. The only downside was during a four day stay they only service the room once. And the rates were very inflated since it was car week.

The stay at the Pelican Inn Monterey was horrible . First of all if you book thru Hotels. Com or Expedia your surely going to be staying in one of the less desired rooms as oppose to if you’re a full price paying customer you’ll get a better recent remodeled room. This hotel is not ADA friendly no elevator to get to the second floor. Water leakage, dripping water and loud toilet noises all night in the bathroom Owner was very rude and not willing to willing to accommodate I do t recommend this hotel at all
