Stayed here in the past with great results. This visit I was disappointed. Booked a room with a “historic view” and received a room looking at a dumpster. Staff was nice enough to change my room when I questioned this and received a better room. Went down stairs for breakfast at 6:45 AM and there was no breakfast items out. Frustrated and needing to get my day going I left and found a quick breakfast elsewhere. Not the worst stay ever but I know they can do much better than this.

The Good: Excellent location to downtown area with multiple parking lots. Competitive pricing for double queen room (though I was told they did gouge rather deep during festival). Adequate breakfast. The Bad: Floors needed moping! Poor water pressure on 4th floor (dribbled rather than sprayed from the jets). Room door in desperate need of adjustment (horribly misaligned - could see light above the door to the frame when I managed to close it) Overall Fair: Natchitoches has needed more hotels in this downtown area for some time though I was rather disappointed by the lack of 'warmth' or southern style I've known Natchitoches to possess that my family always receives when we stay at another hotel located a few blocks away.

Room was dirty and the bathroom was moldy. Stick to the bathroom floors. Had to spend an hour on text with hotel.con to ask the hotel for a refund. Customer service was only available through text and was difficult to find. Can’t understand how this hotel can have its rating. Hallways were dirty and had to take pictures for the staff. Bed was like a brick then I checked out the bathroom and was shocked for $300. I wouldn’t have been shocked if it was $65 but it was $300 a night. Hotels.com also makes it so hard to navigate to cancel after checking in.

Parking was 2 blocks away since the near parking lot was full. Great customer service. Room was ready when promised. Large clean room. Shower only, no tub but this was fine. Keurig coffee pot in the room which was nice. Within walking distabytl downtown. Would definitely stay here again

DIRTY!! Nowhere did I look and not see some sort of dirt, trash or debris. As soon as we arrived, I saw an abundance of trash under the portico while I parked to go check-in. Staff friendliness was mediocre. Our room door (#104) didn't close properly, as we had to use our shoulder to open and close the door. I noticed that other doors had their RFID reader broken off. One of the pillows on the bed looked as if it had lost a fight with a dull knife. Shower was dirty, possibly clean, just stained. Shower also had mold/mildew on the pan floor. Bathroom door had holes in it where it had been opened with such force, the towel hangers punctured it. Overall, the property was just dirty! Such a shame considering it's proximity to the Cane River, shops and restaurants. We did not report this. We checked-in, went to sleep, woke up and left.

Festival of Lights stay

If you are looking for convenience to downtown Natchitoches this is the Hotel for you. Easily walk to the Festival of Lights or visit local shops and restaurants. I did not find the beds comfortable and the rooms were very nice but could have been cleaner. I felt like housekeeping rushed to have our room ready and possibly took some shortcuts. We were also next to the elevator ( a big no no) when looking for a peaceful stay. Overall I would stay again but be mindful of past experience.
