Room was dirty with cheese-its by the bed. Moldy caulking in bathroom. No toilet paper on roll, and a huge bag of garbage on one side of door all night and huge bag of dirty linnen on the other side of door all night. My bed linnen was clean but had some nasty stains that made me question it. Peeling paint on ceilings. I have stayed here twice previously and had decent rooms.

The room felt humid and smelled like mold. Heater didn't go higher than 71F, while temperatures outside plunged towards 20F. No real duvet or comforter; ony sheets. Asked at the reception; they didn't have anything thicker than sheets. Got 6 sheets. Heater was tried to fix, but didn't help.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. I loved the body wash gel. The room safe was not working but even though they offered to fix it straight away I said not to bother as I wasn't using it anyway.

My family and I arrived in the French Quarter hours after arriving in Galveston off of a two week cruise- point is, we had NO clue about all the celebrations of Carnival until AFTER we arrived. Fortunately, Jessica A. of the guest services was beyond helpful and accommodating to our needs during our stay.
