This hotel met all of our family's needs during a recent trip to NYC. It is in a nice location proximal to Times Square, Theater District, and 42nd Street subway terminal. It was quieter than expected! The bathroom was in need of some updates. Overall, it was a nice find.

Definitely recommend

The staff was amazing, we had a early morning flight checked our bags allowed us to use the restrooms to freshen up. staff recommended the Tick Tock Diner food was good within walking distance, once a room was available for early check in they called to let us know which was a BIG plus. The rooms were a decent size everything was clean and the over all hotel was quiet. I would definitely stay again you are literally walking distance to everything in the time square area.

I liked that the Truss Hotel Times Square was in a convenient location amd easy to walk to different attractions. I didnt like that inwas asked for a deposit when a deposit wasnt mentioned when I selected. If a deposit was required, then it should've been made known by Expedia.

Great location for Amtrak travellers

The hotel overall was great. Location is great for those that are arriving NYC at Moynihan Train Hall/Penn Station— just 10 minute straight down walk down 9th Avenue. It’s about 15 minute walk to Broadway. The hotel room itself was very spacious with generous sized queen beds— fit 3 of us very comfortably. I have stayed in other hotels that are 2-3 minute walk from to Moynihan train hall. While much closer, the rooms and beds are definitely much smaller compared to Truss Hotel. 2 things that could use some improvements: 1) The tub drains VERY slowly. Not sure if it is only our room that has this issue, but not very pleasant if someone else is waiting to take a shower… 2) The have auto on/off lights that randomly turn off. We’d have to press the reset buttons to turn them back on. We timed most occurences— the longest duration between shut down was a little over 1 hour. But average shut down is every 7-10 minutes. It is a bit of a nuisance having to turn the lights on again and again.
