If You are chemically sensitive it may not be the place for you there’s a lot of velvet in the rooms and the blinds are a bit confusing and hard to see to go up and down. There is a hidden in one of the drawers under the bed. There needs to be a list of instructions to go with this room!! The hotel is very nice and good location near Times Square - rooftop deck and a cocktail area that has live entertainment. The sink area hardly has any space for your stuff. Whoever designed it was definitely not a woman!!

Great location, especially if you are seeing a Broadway show. Love the aesthetic of the hotel and Broadway photos and decor. Only downside was the size of my room. No closet, no side table, no desk. However, very very cute! Staff is very helpful and polite!

Highly recommend!

Great hotel in a super location. All the staff were really friendly and happy to help with any queries. Its close to lots of subway stations which made getting round NY really easy. The rooftop bar and cocktail room within the hotel premises were an added bonus too! Highly recommend when staying in NY

Comfortable stay

We upgraded our room from queen to king as it was very small for 2 people. King room was much more spacious i highly recommend this room if you are travelling as a couple. Quiet at night and beds very comfortable. Staff pleasant and location is great. I would stay here again.

I stayed here twice but second time wasn’t as good as the first time the plugs in the wall didn’t work, the mini light on the right side of the bed wasn’t working, the people in the other rooms kept slamming their doors all night, and when I was going out I get a call saying I was too loud like huh? I wasn’t even doing anything but the workers were super nice and the hotel is so cute

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it’s incredible. Perfect walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and the heart of the Theater District. The staff were friendly, and the manager even gifted our room a couple bottles of Prosecco to celebrate our wedding! Highly recommend this hotel when you’re visiting NYC.

Really?!? Cool place at a good price in midtown??

Euro-style small but excellent lodging at a great price in midtown Manhattan. Wasn’t sure that was possible, Civilian proved it was.

Room was very clean and the shower was hot. The bed was comfortable. Pictures are accurate; the room is small. So using the space efficiently and keeping organized is important.
