Excellent Customer Service

Great stay; Initially there was an issue with the computer/key system, but the staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to help resolve the issue. Friendly atmosphere and is a great location for the area.

Room was very clean. Housekeeping was very attentive. Front desk full of smiles. Bed was sooo comfy. And it was very quiet. Very walkable area with tons to do in any direction. This is now where I’ll be staying when visiting y family in NY.

The hotel is outdated, the staff is unfriendly, very humid in the rooms, you can hear every car driving by, overall experience was not great. The bed in the first room was good but when they changed us to our second room the pillows and bed were horrible. The location was good, close to markets and plenty of restaurants.

The balcony was a game changer. We stayed for a week and it was nice to enjoy the balcony and the views of the East River and Manhattan. The separate bedroom was also nice to have.

Paid a premium for an executive suite with balcony on hotels.com, arrived and it wasn't available. Was provided a downgraded room, they gave me a slight break on cost, not what I would have received if I book the plain room. Outlets near the bed were non-functional. Last year the key cards didn't work.

The hotel gym was being renovated, and my wife works out regularly. It was disappointing to find this out as we were checking in. The vents above the bathroom showers were dirty. The elevators were stripped bare, and only two were available. The neighborhood is somewhat isolated with a housing project across the street. That said, there were some positive. The bed was very comfortable. Very quiet. We used to live in the neighborhood and felt comfortable with the surrounding area. Central Park and bars/restaurants are fairly close. I’d stay there again for a cheaper rate.

While we were there it looks like they were in the process of updating/remodeling the property. This did not have an impact on our stay. We stayed on the 15th floor and everything looked nice. The team members that were at the front desk were always friendly. Although we didn’t require any housekeeping during our visit, the staff was still friendly and helpful whenever we asked for something for our room.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. We had a couple of lights not working along with the main outlet in the bathroom. Our air conditioner may have been going out, as it was hard to get the room to a comfortable cool temperature. I liked that we were near a subway and bus stop. A couple of stores nearby along with a pizza joint! Overall, happy- the room we stayed in could probably use a little maintenance and all will be good.
