We had a good stay at Homewood Suites. The hotel is very modern, comfortable and clean, and the location is ideal for sight-seeing. It's only a few blocks from Penn Station, so catching an LIRR (then Airtrain) train back to JFK airport was a breeze. It's also very close to Hudson Yard shopping centre and the Circle Line pier for river cruises. The included breakfast was nice, although some of the hot options weren't always that appetising first thing in the morning. Having coffee and tea available in reception all day was a nice touch. I didn't have that much interaction with the staff, but when I did they were friendly and courteous. The rooftop terrace was nice to have - we got some good photos of skyscrapers. The only thing that bothered me slightly on our stay was that the fridge in our room was very loud, so kept waking me up every night - I ended up having to sleep wearing earplugs.

Perfect location! Walkable to lots of things we wanted to see, close to the train station as well as subway stops. I loved that it was close to Times Square but not quite in it. The breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was well equipped with everything we could need. We enjoyed the breakfast choices, good coffee, friendly service. We loved the rooftop area. We had friends come by and we hung out up there. We would highly recommend.
