I woke up with a piece of chewed gum stuck to my foot that had been left between the sheets by a previous guest. (spoiler alert: it was not my gym). On my second night the shower water turned dark brown and freezing cold while I was in the shower. Walls were also extremely thin meaning any possibility of resting if other guests are speaking is out of the question. Service was kind but couldnt offer a clean solution beyond a discount equivalent to roughly 5% of my stay. I flew home tired and dirty, cute hotel but I won't be back

Old building. Hallways narrow, elevators very small. Breakfast space too small, sold as something very nice and actually was a so-so bakery which could take very few people. Big lines and slow to deliver. The room was expensive and much too small. The manager was nice enough to change my room because the tv sould not work. The bathroom in the first room was una ceptably small. I d advise people to inquire abou room size before booking. The hotel had too many people; the common areas were too crowded. Not worth it for the price.

Hotel speaks Manhattan history. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Allure bar was fantastic. Decent drink and breakfast voucher's were given which was a plus. The room temperature wasn't the best. The best just couldn't keep up with the cold outside. Also issues with the shower water temperature being too cold. We expected more given the price for the night. The drink.voucher wasn't exactly as described by Expedia but they did give something.

Our major difficulty was because we could not get water that was hot enough for showers or hand washing for the first two days of our stay. We ran the water for more than 5 minutes in the sink and shower and still had Luke warm water. On our last day I had a hot shower. Also the bathroom did not have heating coming directly in. The maintenance staff member came up and said we needed to keep the door to the bedroom open to have heat in the bathroom. He offered to change our room but said other rooms had no heat coming directly into the bathroom so we stayed. I think the hotel has remodeled without good planning for the heating system or else the boiler, which is in the basement, was not functioning well.
