Missing sofa bed

When we arrived to the hotel, our room did not have a sofa bed as reserved to accommodate 6 people. The manager, Dave and the front desk staff were not helpful. Our group was told they could switch us to a different room the following night. They did not apologize, they did not ask what they could do to make this situation better and quite dismissive. We were traveling with 3, 8 year olds and having to switch rooms mid day, pack up all of our belongings, check our belongings, then unpack again was not expected or something we had included in our travel itinerary. When we checked out, the front desk staff were extremely rude and said they would be charging us extra for having a valeted car 30 minutes after the checkout time of 12pm. The entire hotel was beautiful, clean and food was amazing! The manager Dave and front desk staff are why we will not return or recommend this hotel.

The AC fan was very loud. The bed is comfortable but could not fall at sleep due to the AC fan keeps going on and off. The kids from the next room was roaming the hallway at 2am. We had connected rooms but due to unresolvable technically issue we had to keep the connecting doors open the whole time we were there. Which made it harder to fall at sleep.

7 nights 8 days trip to NYC. Perfect location to explore all parts of NYC easily. Stay is nice at this place. They have free wine night from 5-6pm on Tue and Fri. I liked grab and go breakfast.

Great Hotel Location

We were in NYC for the New York Theater Festival. The Hotel Edison is just a block from Time Square. It is an older hotel with lots of charm. The rooms are small but adequate. The room attendants are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast service was fast and efficient. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We were disappointed that there was a charge for any early check in even if it were only 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. I was impressed with the security in the lobby area. I would recommend this Hotel.
