Excellent service overall! Everyone was super helpful and friendly, and both check-in and check-out were very smooth. The bell staff in particular were wonderful and extremely helpful.
One issue: the in-room phone didn’t work during my entire stay. Even though I was assured it would be fixed quickly, it never was—so for any issues I had to go down to the front desk in person.
The breakfast selection was excellent—one of the better ones I’ve had at hotels in this area.
Parking, however, was a big downside. The hotel directs you to a lot that’s very expensive, with no discount offered, which is unusual since hotels usually negotiate better rates for their guests. There’s actually a parking garage right next to the hotel on the same street that I suspect is cheaper than the one 2–3 blocks away that guests are directed to. Honestly, the partnered parking company (LAZ) feels like they’re taking advantage of people with their pricing. I’ve stayed in Manhattan/Times Square many times, using hotel-affiliated parking, and this was by far the most expensive.
Lastly, the water policy could be handled better. Members receive two complimentary water bottles, but non-members are charged $6 each. I didn’t drink them, yet my credit card was still charged—a disappointing surprise I’ll be following up with the hotel about.
