Great location…broken heat! Brrrrr

We got there and were really happy with the location. We dropped our bags in our room and headed to Times Square. When we got back late we found out that the heat was broken in the room and it was freezing. The TV was also broken. I called the front desk and they just said, “sorry there’s no one here to fix it now, we can try to fix it tomorrow.” I requested to have several blankets brought to the room, he eventually came with one, that was stained. We slept with multiple layers of clothes and made it through the night. Luckily they were able to move us to a new room for the next day.

I was recommended this hotel and it was just perfect. You come here for the location, and it’s within a 5 minute walk of most of the Broadway theatres so was so safe and easy getting back at night after shows. I came alone as a single woman and felt very safe and secure. The room was basic but was warm and clean and the bed very comfortable. I will hopefully be able to come back to New York and stay here again.

Queen size beds in Times Square

Second stay here. I stay because it’s so close to Times Square (we go to many shows) and they have Queen size beds(there are 4 of us typically). Beds are comfy. We had a large room with a closet, dresser and chairs. Plenty of towels and hot water. Room was cleaned daily. Staff is helpful and friendly. Lobby is good place to sit if you need to wait. They will store your luggage if you need it stored (early arrival). But-our room was often cold (drafty windows). We did get extra blankets from the front desk. It was noisy outside on the street, too. However I’ll stay here again. It’s a fine place to stay!

The rooms are small, barely space to walk. the bathroom's tiles are dirty and rusty. The property is right in Times Square, very convenient area for tourists exploring the city. The water temperature was hot, perfect for winter. The doorman was extremely nice and helpful, just for his service I would increase the rating of this property.

Great stay for an affordable price!

We stayed for a long weekend at OYO Times Square and it was good for the price we paid. We had a full size bed, but the bed was a little squeaky. Other than that, it was clean and we got great service there. Definitely would stay again, but maybe just a bigger bed.

My stay at OYO Times Square was an absolute nightmare, and I have the entire experience documented on video as I was filming a hotel review. From the start, I was placed in a wheelchair-accessible room with a window that wouldn’t shut properly, leaving the room freezing cold throughout my stay. This led to me catching a cold. The towels were in such poor condition that they disintegrated upon use. The room’s blackout buttons didn’t work, so I had no access to sunlight. The room itself was dusty and unkempt, with trash left behind by previous guests—a clear indication of inadequate cleaning. To add to the inconvenience, the room phone didn’t work, and the shower water alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold, with no comfortable middle temperature. Throughout my stay, the hotel staff was completely absent. At the end of my trip, the manager finally toured the room with me, apologized for the poor conditions, and took note of all the issues I had experienced. Despite this, things worsened after I returned home. Not only did I not receive my incidental deposit back, but I was also falsely accused of smoking in the room and charged an additional $400. This is an outrageous and dishonest practice. Thankfully, I documented the entire stay on video, which proves the poor condition of the room and the lack of service. This hotel is nothing short of a scam and isn’t worth even $20 a night. The only positive aspect was the location near Times Square. but not worth it.
