Hotel is lovely and in a good location. Rooms were clean & spacious. We loved the outdoor heated pool with its views of the Empire State Building. But check-in experience was poor - with a real pressure from reception to add $50 a night to upgrade from what was already a fabulous room. And service in the cocktail bar on the top floor was at best sketchy. Some nights great, other nights absolutely terrible

Bathtub covered in hair, super not helpful front desk. There is LITERALLY NO ICE. I called and asked for ice and even went down to the front desk, they promised some would come. I also asked the front desk multiple times to send a microwave up (i was told id have one) and it never came. Same thing with an hdmi cable. Huge waste of money, disappointed in service and cleanliness
