Very quaint town, but literally St Patrick’s weekend and nothing was open past 10-11 pm.
We were disappointed in the staff at the hotel, there was a large dog (golden size) in the room next to us and it barked through out the night and most of the morning. When I told them in the morning they said “sorry.” Not impressed with their response. We would have taken a spa credit or something but nothing.
The hotel was gorgeous. It was very clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi tub in the room worked well, and the fireplace was nice. Bed was comfortable and there were many pillows. We had a very quiet stay even though the hotel was pretty full. Definitely would stay here again. Griffon Pub across the street is also worth checking out.
The property was a very nice place. The view of the lower Niagara river is amazing. There are several local restaurants nearby as well as shopping centers and roads to Canada, Youngstown, Niagara Falls and Buffalo.
The rooms were very spacious with a beautiful view of the Niagara River. The rooms were well appointed with a refrigerator, hair drier and coffee maker. The heating system was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The only small criticisms were that the spacious bathrooms lacked countertop space and for some reason, the cold water faucet never put out cold water despite the fact that it was February. The free breakfast was both tasty and very convenient! Last but not least, the price for the off-season period was outstanding!!! Overall, a very enjoyable stay in Lewistion
The start was ok. But after finding a previous guest’s thong underwear on the floor in the room you would think that I would have been offered some kind of compensation.
Parking was an issue with the snow. Some nights you have to park in a lot below the property and the walkway was not cleaned. I asked if the lot was full where I could park and they had no answer. Usually I go when there isn’t so much snow. First time.
The property would have been a 5 out of 5 if the bed didn’t feel like you were sleeping on a rock. Great view, friendly staff and amazing location made the trip a plus.
