It was a fun experience but the Polynesian room opened in 1986 and really no updates have been done since, or so it seemed besides adding a newer TV. I’d like to try another theme room that’s a bit more current next time. Given the cost ($1000 for 2 nights) I was expecting a bit more. Also seemed like a lot of questionable guests staying at the hotel. We rode the elevator 6 times and 4 of those times had guests who were clearly on drugs or intoxicated (daytime).

My sister and I arrived and were “upgraded” to a theme room. It meant instead of two queens we got a King and a Day Bed. There was a huge soaker tub in the middle of the room. When we went to have a soak, the hotel had no hot water. The day bed wasn’t a bed. It was a storage shelf with padding and blocked the path from the bed to bathroom which resulted in some stubbed toes and would be a real hazard for anyone with mobility issues. I’d be surprised if it met fire code. Recommend sticking to the basic room here if ever offered an upgrade and avoid the insane prices of these theme rooms.

For the Price of a very basic theme room was Extremely expensive for what you got. Room was definitely in need of some repairs to taps and sinks. But wanted kids to have experience. However for the price we would have been better driving few blocks and having much better room quality.

When checking in staff were not very attentive didn’t share any welcomes or amenities. Didn’t even mention the Wi-Fi like you get every time you go to a hotel just basics when you’re being checked in. In order to get hot water in the shower we had to run the tub for 10 minutes to get any hot water running and the electrical plug in the bathroom was very suspect. Also, if you went for work and took an executive room like we had you had no desk to do work at.

We chose to stay at fantasyland, because we had spent the day at the waterpark and wanted the convenience of the close proximity. We chose a room with bunk beds for the kids. The room had dried boogers all over the door frame to the bathroom and more boogers stuck everywhere around the bunk beds. Absolutely disgusting, unfortunately we did not notice any of it until late and night. The room had run down furniture and light fixture were bent and barely hanging on the wall. Let’s just say for the price I was extremely disappointed. Not a chance I’ll be back.
