I would recommend this place for pure rest and relaxation

The staff made this trip amazing. Tom (the manager) was extremely helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. They were not busy (off season) but they still made every effort to accommodate us (ie: bagged breakfast). He gave thought to where to locate us for best security (two women) and privacy. The room was a bit dated, but you could see the efforts they made to upgrade it and keep it clean/nice. We were so happy we booked a second night when the original plan was to stay only one night and move to somewhere else for our second night in the area. We would stay here again in a second. THANK YOU for making our mother/daughter trip a good one!

I was traveling with my four children and I am very happy I chose this hotel for a stop.The room was recently updated and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The staff we very friendly, and understanding of my locking myself out. I eoild stay here when in the Everglades again.

Great independent, family owned lodge. Loved the main building decoration. Will definitely return.

This property was a really neat place for our family to stay. My boys wanted to fish and they were able to right off the dock. We had so much wildlife around us which was really neat. The owner was very responsive. We clogged a toilet and the cleaning person came by the same day and took care of it and brought us more supplies for our stay.Full transparency - the mosquitoes are bad. We were there in July, which is the rainy season and you couldn't be outside at dawn or dusk without bugs on you. Locals said it is better in the fall/winter. We enjoyed an awesome trip with Everglades City Airboat tours. The best out there. My kids loved it! My husband and sons went out with Captain Bobby with Waterboy Charters for a 6-hour fishing trip and they really loved it. Came back with some really good fish!

All in all, we had a good time the only issues that I had the TV signal was poor. We were unable to watch TV and I am unsure if it came from the bedsheet or for the provided body watch, but I broke out in a rash around my neck parts of my back and on my wrist however it was a nice area and we enjoyed our stay.
