We stayed at a family superior room with a futon bed for the child. The receptionist was very helpful to find us a quiet room on a higher floor (north building east facing room) and we were able to check in early (around 12noon). The hotel and facilities are relatively dated but the location is excellent, about 5 min walk from Exit 5 of Namba Metro station, with lots of dining options around and Namba Park across the road. We have 2 x 110cm wide beds for the adults and the beds are super comfy as we prefer firm mattresses. The room itself is small. We had to fold up the futon bed during the day so that we can access the fridge, kettle and the suitcase shelf. Room cleaning is done every 3 days but we get fresh towels and bottles of water each day. The hotel offers all sorts of amenities including beauty face masks. We used the washing machine and dryer once during our stay. They are okay and only on level 6 for the whole north building. The dryer only runs 15 minutes for 100yen (as opposed to 30 minutes for 100 yen at most other hotels) so we did end up spending more on the dryer.

Breakfast was expensive so we did not eat here, but there were plenty of places around! It is an excellent location. The rooms were small, but there are so much to do around you that we were hardly in the room.

Great location, walking distance to multiple restaurants and transportation. Namba station is close by. Staff are pleasant and professional. We arrived early before check-in time and left our luggage in the lobby before coming back later in the day to check in properly. Room was clean and spacious considering hotels in Japan are a bit smaller on average. Liked the bathroom set up, water pressure was good and toilet was clean. Would stay again.

I absolutely loved our stay at the Hiyori Hotel, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, the hotel is really nice, comfortable and clean, the rooms were great and I felt at home, the area around the hotel is perfect, shops, restaurants everything is so close! And it’s also so centrally located! I was sad to leave and would love to come back!
