My stay at the Hotel New Otani Osaka was a pleasure in every regard. My room was comfortable, the staff was pleasant and helpful in every way, and my breakfast was excellent. Train connections around the city from the hotel are easy, and at the end of a long day in a hectic city, the hotel is great place to return to. In fact, I look forward to returning there soon. (My only question is related to when the lobby lounge in the hotel is actually open.)

Mostly great service, but, I lost my wallet in the 18th floor sky lounge. The manager found my wallet that night at a car at parking lot, but most of the money was gone. He said he would call the police in the morning. The manager who took over said that the hotel didn't lose the wallet and that I should contact the police.

Beautiful hotel in a great location next to the river and Osaka Castle. Easy to get to as it’s very close to a subway station. Very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Overall everything was great, I have experienced really attentive customer service from the bell service to the concierge. But I must say, considering they are a high end or a 5 star hotel, the still backwards rule of no tattoos allowed in their fitness center threw me off. I would understand the spa or hotel onsens, but the gym or exercise facility? Tattoos had to be covered. I ended up not going anymore even though eventually I bought some clothing to cover my tattoos in my arm, but since I don’t want to worry anyone or make someone uncomfortable if my tattoos accidentally show, I did not enjoy their fitness facilities. All my hotel stays in Japan, the fitness facilities did not have any rules for tattoos.
