I am still unsure how this accommodation is 3-star! It would be 4.5 star is Australia. I could not fault it. The top floor bar was so beautiful - we spent each night in this space having drinks and substantial bar snacks - beautiful night time view. Comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms! The rooms were small but you know that when you are booking. Given you are not in your room much when you are travelling this is not an issue., especially with 5 other communal spaces in the hotel. I never leave reviews but I would highly recommend staying here!

Suitable for a few days

This hotel is in a good location. The room was quite small, especially the bed, but it was suitable for 3 nights. All the amenities are at the front desk instead of in your room which is a little inconvenient. There is a rental service for electrical items etc which was good. All in all, can’t complain.

We booked a corner king bed room and we were very surprised with the size of the room compared to other hotels in Tokyo. It was a very large room with a separate couch and desk area. It was enough space to open up a few luggage’s on the floor and still have plenty of space. It’s an open floor plan but the bathroom doors can close if you want. I think the only gripe for the room is that the toilet is far from the sink and shower (across the “entry” hallway from each other). Other than that it was an amazing room!!

Overall, the hotel and the room was great; however, there was a ton of thick, long hair throughout my room. Anything that touched the floor has hair that would cling to it even after my room was cleaned. Other than that, the room was very clean. The beds are a bit firm but that seems to be common across Japan.

Loved our stay at the LIVELY, rooms were decently sized, beds were comfy, bathrooms had everything we needed and the location is brilliant. We also really enjoyed all the free toiletries in the lobby area, super helpful. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Lively Hommachi. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Hotel staff were very helpful and even arranged our luggage to be transported onto our next hotel - for a fee of course. Drawbacks as follows; - rental items are a great idea but rely on people not renting items for their entire stay. If people returned items after using then everyone would get a turn. - normal for Japan but there was no cupboard space to unpack. The room could have benefited from under bed storage or boxes in the under sink unit. - no safe, in 2025 you should be able to expect a safe in the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Lively.

Great quirky hotel, we had a cinema room that was Amazing!! The staff were fabulous and incredibly helpful Slightly outside of the district with bars etc. but only a short cab ride so no issue 😊

A very hip, boutique kind of venue with music, DJ and free beer. Unfortunately the breakfast was not the best. Loved the recliner bed but they were so high on need a chair to help me get on up. Location of the kettle and fridge was not practical to the bathroom. The breakfast was different and felt more like a brunch. No alternative options for allergies. 7 eleven and lawsons close by.
