Eautiful beach and outstanding snorkling due to ongoing great care of reef. Overwater bungalos are very clean and comfortable. Life jackets are are available there, which is very convenient. Snorcling gear is available for rental. Breakfast buffet is very good. Beautiful garden territory, friendly and helpful staff

We stayed 3 nights in an overwater bungalow. It was very clean, bed was comfortable and cleaning staff were very good. However, like many other reviews of the restaurant and staff there, it was highly lacking for a 5 star resort. We stayed at a VRBO on the west side of the island for 12 days before going to the Sofitel. Every local restaurant we ate at was much better food and service. Our 1st night at Sofitel we tried the restaurant. Our waiter took our drink and meal order and we never saw him again. A different waiter brought my steak, which was tough and no knife. We never received our drinks. My wife had the same problem the next morning ordering a coffee. We had to ask a second waitress. If you stay here, venture off property and enjoy a locally cooked meal.

The setting is beautiful. The activities offered were fun. The dining staff was very friendly. Housekeeping staff worked hard. The property is older and could use an update. But we would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Located in one of the beast beaches in Moorea you couldn’t ask for a nicer area. The staff is hardworking and friendly, specially at the restaurant. Special shout out to Pedro and the omelette king. Where it felt flat was the condition of the hotel. The overwater bungalows are in dire need of a makeover. Get a rental care if there for more than a couple of days. Also a con is the fact that the hotel sells day passes so random day folks being loud and taking over the shady chairs at the beach.

Amazing property! I had a water-front bungalow, beautiful and spacious with a little deck right on the water. I enjoyed the beach and free-snorkeling gear to visit the coral reefs with awesome marine life. Great restaurant, though the high-end restaurant 'K' is quite expensive. All staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our beachside bungalow was right next to the warm turquoise water filled with fish and just deep enough to snorkel and swim every day. The food in the breakfast buffet was fresh and varied from day to day. The Polynesian buffet was wonderful so we went 3 times over our 9 day stay. The Vue and Beach restaurant had great lighter options such as burgers, sandwiches, spring rolls, and popcorn shrimp. We will be back!

If you love to snorkel this is the best resort on earth! Plus you can smoke inside the rooms when you need ac. Heinz is the worlds best egg chef. I do appreciated the passion fruit the staff brought us. I can’t wait to return. I do wish there were less bugs. Even with twice daily housekeeping my husband got 37 bites the first night. I also think there must have been a language barrier as our spa costs were tripple what she quoted. Nonetheless can’t wait to go back for club sandwiches on the beach!

We loved this hotel!

The hotel and the property are beautiful. All the "rooms" are bungalows right on the beach, and the bungalow was large and beautifully done. You can swim/snorkel right from the beach. The pool is also nice. Food in the restaurant is great, and the staff is wonderful.
