I was by the pool minding my own business just having a few peanuts as I am hypoglycemic, pool guy came over to tell me no outside food or drink allowed. I could see if I was eating a cheeseburger, but a few peanuts at my chair???? Horrible staff, I suggest go to the intercontinental to anyone looking at this resort!

Resort is an excellent concept with large rooms with kitchen facilities and balconies. Excellent infinity pool and safe open sea snorkling area. A pool bar, under cover restaurant and excellent sea based sports facilities. But room was not clean and had paint peeling off as did the pool area. Tahiti generally has high F&B prices.

I booked a room for 2 people to include breakfast, and also to include XPF4575 beverage credit per room, per stay. Upon check-in there was nothing about the beverage credit on my booking and was told it was not included. After some time I was able to find the email with this information and after showing it to reception they added it to my booking. Not good as I was informed by the hotel prior to arrival what was included.

Our time in paradise

The accomodations were clean, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Loved the beautiful gardens and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the deck. Would definitely choose to come back!!

The property is conveniently located near the airport and Papeete. The pool and lounge area are lovely. The food was great. The room however was really run down. That said, our ocean view, staring at Moorea, saved the room experience a bit.

Arri checked us in and was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was our water/shower was cold throughout our stay. Called front desk and was told that’s the way it was. Not sure if they understood how cold it was. Later was told that water should not be that cold so apparently our room had an issue. The property and view was beautiful. Room was large and comfortable. Pool and facilities were lovely.

Sunsets Galore!

Even though our room didn’t have an ocean view, we were literally steps away from the infinity pool. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. And you can’t beat the viewing areas for the sunsets.

The pool was great. It took one hour after 2 oclock check in to get our room. Our room was street side, so very noisy. A/C stopped working, so room change was needed. They were going to give us another stree side room but i complained and after waiting 45 minutes, the snotty receptionist told her that the manager would give us a studio, which was very nice. Housekeeping and maintenance were very nice.

I have stayed at the Ta Moana Resort several times and still incredible! We had a slight issue with the room but that was quickly resolved. The resort offered great amenities including Kayaks and snorkel gear with our room purchase. The staff is amazing! A big thank you to Hiti nui (spelling?) at the front desk. An awesome guy!

We love this place. Very nice beach side. Fantastic snorkeling in the sea and swimming in the pool. Great area for drinks and food on the beach. Very friendly staff. Diving center in the hotel. Nice food in the restaurants. Easy, free parking. Comfortable room with balcony. Great hotel!

We had booked another hotel in Papeete for two nights before we flew home. Out host at a house we had r ented recommended Te Moana instead. We were not disappointed. We had a spacious, oceanfront room with a small kitchenette and separate bedroom. Beautiful landscaping throughout the grounds. All staff members were especially nice, dealing with little issues in a gracious way and always to our satisfaction. Had two very good dinners at the oceanside restaurant. My only criticism is that the pool was crowded and people tended to "reserve" the loungers by leaving their towels on them all day - don't know how to solve this problem. And the restaurant didn't have a number of items that were on the menu. But we made out fine. Nice selection of good french wines.
