Great little hotel in an old building. Everything is cool but on the small side. Our room layout was super weird and having the toilet separate from the bathroom area was odd, especially as the toilet was in a small closet-like 'room'. The area around the hotel gave unsafe vibes. That said, the staff were excellent and Beatrice in particular provided excellent service.

I stayed here for a week by myself. I felt fairly safe in the area, and it was next to multiple metro stations so it was easy to get around. Plenty of food in the area. The staff was helpful and nice, my first language was English and they were able to accommodate me and communicate easily in English. The room was clean, the bathroom is a bit tight, could be hard to use if you need more space. But it was clean and accommodating, i liked the blue tiles. A note, the building was under construction so you could hear workers in the early morning, and the nightlife is audible from my 3rd floor room, but this is just city life sounds, nothing too crazy. I would book here again!

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast was also great! The hotel is currently under renovation so there were workers around the ground floor and dust (would have appreciated the heads up on this point due to allergies) Our room was tiny - tricky with two suitcases.

The staff was very attentive. You’re in an area where there’s locals so it gives you the Parisian feel but completely around the metro so you can be at any tourist spot within a few stops. Check out the canal a few blocks away. Would stay again.

The location was excellent and the staff was wonderful. Our stay at Hotel Magenta 38 was great…very close to the metro, restaurants and shopping. Would stay there again. The only tip I have is for people not to add the ‘hotel booking protection’ from Expedia because only God knows what it’s for, it doesn’t count toward your reservation and there’s basically no use/reason for it. I’ve disputed this w/ Expedia, just waiting to hear back (nothing to do with the hotel).

Family friendly

We loved this hotel, it was clean and friendly! The family room was perfect for us, everyone had what they needed and enjoyed breakfast. We really appreciated all the help from the front desk and how close it was to the train station. We even could see the top of the Eiffel Tower from the window. I would definitely stay again.
