Noisy motel but clean and comfortable.

Overall we could tell the owners have really tried to make it trendy and nicer for a motel and that they are still in process of remodeling rooms. Surprised it was a motel when it lists as a hotel .. Very clean and room was nice. Everything from phone so no check in/out or even phone use just text them if need anything else. Shower was nice flow and rain shower. The carpets were a bit thin and a little worn. Bed was soft and ok , seemed clean. Negative was noise pollution. There at 1130 pm 2 nights and both had people sitting outside kind of at an outdoor hangout area talking loud and having good time, no music, just could hear clearly through the window and we were at the end of hall from them. Plus it is right on a big road so a lot of road noise. Thankfully we have an app on our phone for fan noise that was able to drown out the noise pretty well at a pretty high volume. Overall felt like it was a bit overpriced but would stay again if needed in area as it is cheaper than the Hyatt down the road.

Electronics in room are noisy (refrigerator buzz), toilet set was broken/loose, bathroom was not at all private, check in was awful (requires an app download & electronic key), television setup was awful and we could barely use it, and the bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows and one s were nice, and we appreciate the aesthetic. Overall not terribly impressed. However, the location was great! You are close to shopping, restaurants, coffee. You could practically walk to most of your needs.

Nice hotel with nice staff.

The staff were very helpful and courteous. The location in Royal Oak was great and the room was very clean with two towels for each guest!! Our only problem was that people came in very late at night the first night and made a lot of noise. During the afternoon we wanted to take a rest as we had been up early for the Wayne Sate Graduation, however loud music was playing in the outside lounge area so it made it difficult to rest and no one was even outside. Finally on our second night there a loud argument was going on at 3 am between some men and that also made it difficult to sleep. Overall it is a clean nice play to stay but wish I could have slept better. Our daughter had a room located in a different part of the hotel that was much quieter and they slept well.
