Forget everything you heard of about Paris being difficult, from the minute we arrived after being cheated by the Parisian taxi, everything went well. We were warmly greeted and so pleased with all the friendly staff. The location of the hotel is perfect. The room was charming, and we were given a bottle of wine upon arrival and some lovely chocolate bars upon departure. The shower was perfectly designed with excellent water pressure. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel & staff. It is within walking distance to both the Louvre & Metro, so it is well situated to travel within Paris. Hotel is smartly appointed with an eye for detail. Check-in was pleasant, quick & included a glass of champagne as well as a tour of the hotel. We opted for the 'Family Suite' which had 2 bathrooms & adjoining entry. Staff was attentive, friendly & very helpful. We had a misfortunate experience with our airline that resulted in our luggage being completely soaked. The entire staff was extremely attentive & provided immediate assistance and even supplied us with coins for the local laundry mat! The rest of the stay went like a breeze & fully enjoyed all the amenities the hotel had to offer. If you want to feel like royalty, without all of the fuss - the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal is for you!

Everything was amazing. We stayed in their rooftop suite and loved the private balcony we had. The view of the Eiffel Tower was icing on the cake. Can’t beat the proximity to museums. Staff was excellent.
