Book Premier Inn Porthcawl accommodation from NZ$81

Large comfortable room, cleaning was generally good. Shower was great. Bar was nice - a good choice of drinks. Didnt have any food, so cant comment on that. Large car park and great location for getting about. No EV charging points, but they didnt claim to have any. In feneral, South Wales High speed EV charging facilities are not readily available. We had to go to Swansea.

From the outset the reception was chaotic with lots of noisey people. I had to queue for self check-in. I queried why there was a £5 car parking charge when this hadn't been pointed out prior to my booking. I asked why this was and he said because I booked with Expedia. So be careful. The hotel was tired and not worth the money.

Shame the pool wasn't open! But the staff were very good - particularly the night duty manager who helped my diabetic niece when she was ill. Huge thanks and praise ot her!
