Basic Plus

We were met with an unexpected fee for parking first thing. There were only hand towels in the room. There is no clock, microwave or coffeemaker provided- very basic. Breakfast has more options than most others. Room was clean except for toothpaste residue on bathroom mirror. Beds were about an 8 out of 10 for comfort, better than many others.

I would have rated this property 5 stars under "area around the property" if it wasn't for the limited parking spaces available at the time of the rental. The rain made it inconvenient to walk from the car, parked far away, to the hotel entrance.

After settling in, I went to take a shower I was mandated to take as part of pre-surgery protocol. When I discovered the shower was blistering hot and no matter how I turned the dial, it remained the same. Also, I had taken a Kleenex and tried to sweep up all the long, black hairs everywhere in and around the tub area. My husband called the front desk and we were given another room, but instead of two queen beds, which we really needed, we were given a king bed. The shower in this room worked but the shower area was filthy like the first had been, with long, black hairs all over the shower walls and floor. I could not sleep in the bed, so the night before my surgery, I was relegated to the floor. Who knows what bugs I picked up? Thankfully, I had to take another shower so hopefully washed them off. The cover to our bed, which I used because my husband had the blanket, smelled like dog. When was it last washed? We were given free parking because of the room change, but that did not make up for all the discomfort we went through during our stay. The receptionist was as helpful as she could be during this time and we don’t discredit her at all. Obviously, this site is not well-managed and housekeepers are not able to finish their jobs. I felt as if we were staying in filth, not a good place to be prior to surgery. I expect more from a Hampton Inn.

A fine place to stay a night

Staff was friendly night & morning, easy check-in. Room was clean and decent sized, everything in order. Only two detractors - plenty of road noise and the in-room fan wasn't loud enough to drown it out, leading to poor sleep. And the bed was much too soft for our liking - but that may just be personal preference.

I was disappointed, my room didn’t get clean. Some of the staff was rude on Friday, evening. I ask for my room to get clean and the Manager, Ms. Eden told me that she was going to give me linens so that I could clean my own room. I couldn’t believe it, I then told them that I wouldn’t be doing that and to get me another room. And to top it all off, today someone tried to open my door , at 10:00am. This will be the last time I will stay here. I am requesting a refund on my stay,
