I searched on Expedia for hotels that accept small dogs. I checked in with my dog and went to my room. Later, I get a call from the front desk informing me that this Hilton charges $75 per night for a dog. If I had already settled into my room after a day of hiking, I would have left. I was not given any notice by this Hilton and I was misled. Nothing was posted by Expedia or this Hilton about the additional $75 fee. There was no notice and this was misleading, very disappointed in Hilton now.

Beware the water - and watch your wallet

Beware the regularly occurring "contaminated water problem" in New Paltz. It affects supplies of coffee and tea, and raises questions about other issues. When charging $325 (senior price) per night, this Hampton Inn should make known their weaknesses before accepting reservations.

Great location. Staff was wonderful. Room was clean and comfortable. Pillows were not great but ok. Breakfast was very good and public areas were clean and comfortable. A++ to the front desk staff, they were all amazing.

I liked the cleanliness and the staff was friendly. I was disappointed that they were not willing to compensate us when the toilet would not flush. We discovered it when we checked in. The desk clerk promptly got some one there to fix it. It worked that evening, but the next morning it would not work so we had to to down stairs to use the restroom in the lobby until we checked out that day. When I asked about some compensation for the inconvenience I was told they could not give us any reimbursement because we had booked through a third party - Expedia. This does not encourage me to use Expedia in the future or to book at that hotel again.

Great place to relax, clean and safe. Staff is friendly very nice breakfast (although HB eggs were cold) but that's ok. Only thing is they need to freshen up the carpeting as it smelled a bit funky at times.
