Ocean View with a Construction Site

For the price, we felt the hotel was solid but we could not enjoy the ocean view as there was construction, non stop drilling going on all day. from 7am to 7pm. The rooms are paper thin and the next door snorer did not let us sleep good at all.

We arrived and the room we got the bed was twin size bed! The electric outlet where out the window outlet which that’s dangerous. We moved room and disnt have towels I called reception twice took them more than two hours. Next morning I went to ask for more towels left the room for a a few hours came back and no towels!

The resort was surrounded by a lot construction, and much was in disrepair. The desk side tables in the room were damaged, the phone did not work, for examples.

The daily pool entertainment was aquafit which was very fun. They also offered beach volleyball and daily contests for prizes. Ramona and Luis were exceptionally talented at entertaining

The place needs some TLC

This place needs a lot of love, not so clean and our room needed upgrades (Bathroom door handle, toilet paper holder and the toilet flush handle were basically falling apart) and the mirror was disgusting. Not to mention we had to call the front desk multiple times to get towels as they just forgot to replace them when they cleaned the room. ALSO, they are starting a major construction project (15 ish story building) and renovating and older one right on beach, NOT the place to relax! On a positive note, the staff is very nice and the location is good, lots of restaurants around (walking distance).

Its a unique property with some classic charm, but rapidly changing as sections of the property are divided off & lots of construction. Would have been great if they offered some options to the sister property next door. It was noisy & dusty from all types of construction.

Very convenient location. Easy access to beach, city transportation, port and other points of interest. Only downside is that there was noise near pools and beach do to construction.
