Compare Ski Hotels in Rhododendron

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at this La Quinta hotel. I was staying with my family, including young children aged 3 months, 1 year, 12 years, and 14 years, and the environment was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. The room next to ours had a strong smell of marijuana that carried directly into our space. It was overwhelming at times and not something any family—especially with infants—should have to deal with. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, there was no urgency or concern shown. Even worse, no effort was made to move us to another room or offer any kind of refund so we could find accommodations elsewhere. On top of that, basic amenities were lacking. The pool had no towels available for guests, which is something you expect at even the most average hotels. When asking staff about it, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. Tub was full of water when we arrived and we ask no one came to clean and drain it. Overall, the staff came across as rude and uninterested in resolving issues or ensuring guest comfort. This experience fell far below expectations, and I would not recommend staying here—especially for families.

Almost great. Lacking on quality of life amenities like vending machines, etc. Bland food as well. Food looked nothing like the pictures and was probably ripped from google images. Restaurant closed early and be prepared to drive 30 minutes if they decide to close due to being slow. You’re way tucked out there… so that can really mess your food plans for the night. Make sure to get a reservation. Refrigerator in the room was buzzing too loud and needed unplugging. There was a dead bug on our bed when we first got in, and candy under the bed from prior guests. Housekeepers were loud and inconsiderate. Everything else was pretty nice and a fun experience; having a hot tub on your balcony was very cool and main attraction for us personally. Hot tubs were very big and get amazing! Spa services and sauna and pool were also very good. Just really lacking on the small things.

We loved having our women’s weekend there. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked it for next year!The view cannot be beat. There is nothing like sitting in the hot tub and watching the roaring river. There were 12 of us, and the space was great for us. We were able to all sit at the table for meals and games. There was a regular fridge and a small fridge. The living room easily accommodated all of us on couches and chairs. They left more than enough wood for us to keep fires going through the weekend. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. So fun!!

The house was perfect with plenty of amenities and space for the 6 of us. The house definitely deserves 5 star's, VRBO on the other hand deserves 2 stars for extremely poor communication.

The kitchen is very dimly lit and it was hard to see cooking. Spices where really old and clumped together. Not a breaker though. Adorable little place! The bed upstairs was very comfortable. We had a ton of fun and it was nice and cozy. Loved the pellet stove. Will definitely be back again

More luxurious than I imagined! From handmade ceramic bowls to nice coffee, every detail was thoughtful. There is a short path behind the cabin to the river and you can hear the gentle river from the cabin. Highly recommend.
