I was looking outside my window and could see litter empty bottles and papers. I was sitting on a chair in the lobby the couch across had a french fries box it had to be there for a while no one cleaned I know hotels are cutting back but when you pay over $240 for one night they should at least give you breakfast or have a coffee machine in the lobby

The staff were great. The hotel is old, needs to be updated, it smells horrible, there were two bugs in the room, there was a dirty cotton swab in the bathroom, the carpet in the hallway has some areas that are raised and can be a tripping hazard. It was my first and last time staying at Clarion hotel.

Stayed to attend funeral for the weekend and the only good thing about my stay was the bed. Which I’m glad it was comfortable because the rest was trash. Hotel was run down. No AC in front desk area and AC kept turning off in our room. The bathroom had paint chips. The rugs in hall way looked like they need to be repaired. Lots of smoking right outside lobby, outside of every exit door. There was no room service. The lighting in hotel was extremely dim. And the doors connecting the various hallways were broken. Not returning!

Old & Rundown

The first woman I spoke with was very rude. She had a negative attitude and genuinely seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I attempted to check in at 2pm. I was told one of the rooms I requested was ready but the second wasn’t. Knowing I was checking in early I said that was fine and would like access to the available room. I was then told I would have to pay extra for an early checkin. I didn’t see this in any documentation. I’m glad my room was clean and the sheets and towels were clean. This is an OLD hotel. It needs to be remodeled. The outside is off putting. There is an old musty smell in the lobby. I would not have booked this hotel if I had realized how old and uncared for it is. From the parking lot full of holes to the paint peeling and grimy windows. It does not feel welcoming.

Rooms are nice and clean

The hotel lobby was very warm which made me nervous about having A/C in our room. The hotel is under construction and you can tell from the outside windows. Our rooms were nice and clean nothing fancy. The hotel was quiet. The lady at the front desk was very rude at check in.That was my only take away with staying at the hotel

I stayed at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center this past weekend with my husband. While the room itself was clean and comfortable, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel exterior is very dated and has a dingy appearance, which was not welcoming upon arrival. The front desk staff left much to be desired. One staff member openly stated, “I’m not a people person,” which was concerning—especially in a hospitality setting. It definitely set the tone for poor customer service. We also had repeated issues with our key cards not working, which became especially frustrating when we were stuck outside the building during heavy rain. That alone was extremely inconvenient. To be fair, if you're just looking for a quick overnight stay and a cheap place to sleep on your way somewhere else, this might suffice. But as a vacation spot or long-term stay? I would not recommend it.

Never Again

The check in was not smooth the woman working the desk had an unwelcoming attitude. She was rude as well. The keys did not work properly. The hallway smelled terrible. Once in the room the curtains were stained as was much of the furniture. I killed several insects in the bathroom as well as one that ran across the bed sheets. In addition there were scratches on the walls and there was a blood stain on the bed sheet. I would request that my money be refunded for this stay.

When I complained about a hundred ants/termites in my bedroom, not much of a reaction. I asked for my checkout printed on paper, they refused. Stated I’ll need to contact Expedia.
Zoom in and you’ll see what was crawling on me before I noticed them.
