Loved Hotel Contessa. Beautiful property and the location was perfect. Easy walk to all downtown attractions, restaurants and shops. Being on the riverwalk was awesome!!! Roof top pool was my favorite spot over looking the city.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was very friendly & accommodating.. restaurant was exceptional.. bar was great.. coolest thing when we where there, a cool mariachi band was playing in the bar area.. would highly recommend for anyone visiting the River Walk

I stayed at Hotel Contessa as a solo traveler and was really looking forward to a relaxing stay on the Riverwalk. The location is excellent and the lobby area is beautiful, but several issues took away from the overall experience. The noise from the bar and lobby carried into my room at night, which made it difficult to get a good night’s rest. My room also wasn’t as clean as I expected — I found hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor, and there was trash behind the sofa. It felt like the cleaning was rushed or incomplete. When I went up to the rooftop pool, there were no clean towels available, which was disappointing. The elevators were also very slow, especially during busy times, which made getting around a bit of a hassle. While the staff were friendly and the location is hard to beat, the attention to detail just wasn’t there. For the price, I expected a more polished experience.
